Where to stay
evo Hotel - Tahoe City
455 N Lake Blvd, Tahoe City, CA 96145
We’ve reserved a block of rooms at evo Hotel in Tahoe City. Discounted room rates are available if you book by June 1, 2026. Below are some other accommodation options in town.
-
Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is your best bet. From there, it’s about an hour drive to Tahoe City. Uber / Lyft options are scarce in Tahoe, so we recommend renting a car.
There will be shuttles on the wedding day to take you to and from the venue.
-
Granlibakken Resort: Granlibakken is a resort-style option nestled in the trees, offering lodge rooms and townhomes just minutes from Lake Tahoe.
Sunnyside Lodge: A charming lakeside inn located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, close to dining and outdoor activities.
VRBO/Airbnb: There are many VRBO and Airbnb options throughout the Lake Tahoe area; we recommend booking early, as accommodations tend to fill up quickly.
-
Lake Tahoe weather can change quickly, so we recommend packing layers for sunny days and cool evenings.
Wedding attire is semi-formal; please feel free to dress in a way that feels comfortable and true to you.
Things to do
-
A quick and rewarding hike (about 1.5 miles roundtrip) that delivers sweeping views of Lake Tahoe at the top.
-
Grab a tube, gather your crew, and enjoy a lazy float down the Truckee River. Equal parts relaxing and fun. Tahoe summer at its finest.
-
Cruise along scenic, mostly flat bike paths with lake views all around. Bike rentals are easy through EVO or Olympic Bike Shop, making this a great low-key adventure.
-
A peaceful lakeside park with towering pines, walking trails, and beautiful shoreline views. Ideal for a relaxing stroll or picnic with a Tahoe backdrop.
-
One of the most photographed spots in Tahoe and for good reason. Stunning turquoise water, dramatic cliffs, and the historic Vikingsholm Castle make this a must-see.
-
Bridgetender Tavern - A classic Tahoe stop near the river, known for hearty comfort food and a laid-back vibe. Great after a day outdoors.
Firesign Café - A cozy local favorite for breakfast or brunch. Come hungry, the portions are generous and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
Sunnyside - Lakefront dining with incredible views, solid cocktails, and a lively après-lake scene.
Shadyside - A fun, casual, great place to grab a drink, relax, and soak up the Tahoe energy.
Za’s Lakefront Pizza - Pizza with a view! Casual, crowd-pleasing, and perfect for an easy lakeside meal.
